Media circles in India were abuzz with the news of famous Bollywood actress- Aishwarya Rai showing flu-like symptoms. This famous actress and female protagonist of latest Pink Panther happens to be the daughter-in-law of the first family of the Indian cinematic circles and is married to Abishek Bacchan, the son of the famous Amitach Bacchan.

Amitabh Bacchan, henceforth referred to as the Big B, in sync with his popular nametag, recently posted, from Singapore, on his blog,

“Aishwarya has taken ill and is down with chest infection and flu like symptoms. She had a high fever yesterday, but is settling down today. It’s worrying to be so far away from children and not be there to look after them. Yes, they are mature and married and responsible, but children will always remain children,”

The next day immediately, he did not spare lashing out at the media for blowing the issue out of proportion. He further posted on his blog in this regard,

“That little mention of Aishwarya’s indisposition has created a media hurricane. Headlines screaming she has swine flu have appeared along with other national news. The paucity of sensationalist material has created a herd mentality towards interpreting that gentle whiff of air into a storm of immense proportions. Getting the news out first has precedence over research and authentication. No, she does not have swine flu. She has improved and is much better and ready to resume work by tomorrow or the day after. I would have kept her home for another week. But …”

The media is not too happy with this constant shifting of positions by the Big B. Sources also say that the Big B’s blog is being written by people other than the Big B himself. As for what finally happens of Ash, we will have to wait and watch.
