Tata Docomo India – Do The New

While people are shelling out around 1 rupee per call to local mobiles, and around 1.30 rupee for STD calls, Tata Docomo comes up with a new plan – 1 paisa per second , across India!! And you would be paying only for the number of seconds you talk. No wonder, people are queuing up to get a hold of Tata Docomo. In fact, many retailers are facing a shortage of Tata Docomo SIM cards.

Tata Docomo is the new GSM mobile service which is creating waves with its low price of just 1 paisa per second. Tata Docomo believes you should pay only for what you use,  and its commercials say – why pay for the unused? So, while using Tata Docomo, if you speak for 1 minute 1 second, you would be charged for only 1 minute 1 second and not for 2 minutes as other mobile service providers do.

Link up with Japanese Technology:

Tata Docomo is an alliance between Tata Teleservices Ltd and NTT Docomo- a Japanese Telecom major. NTT Docomo is known for its cutting edge technologies and services in Japan, and is the world’s leading mobile operator. NTT Docomo holds about 26 percent stake in Tata Docomo.

As of now, Tata Docomo has rolled out its services in South India – namely Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Orissa. By October, this service would be launched all over India.

Tata Docomo advertisements sport the tagline “Do the new”, along with the question  “why pay for the unused?”  This tagline has caught the attention of many. If you are in South India, its hard to miss the hoardings of Tata Docomo. Even though it has no star in its ad, its offer is enough for the mobile users to think twice about their old pay-per minute mobile service.
