Yoga: A ‘Healthy’ Career

Introduction to Yogic Studies:

‘Yoga’ in Sanskrit means “union”. It is chiefly associated with exercises or “asanas”. Yoga aim at achieving high standards of physical condition and also bring solve problems related with the psychological and emotional health of the one who practices it.

Practicing yoga is not new rather it has been existing in India for more than a few centuries. However, yoga as career has become fashionable very recently.

Qualifications:

A good number of yoga courses are on offer in quite a few yogic institutes all over India. The chief courses with the details are given below:
• B.Sc/B.A in Yogic Therapy(for this, candidates with a graduation in Philosophy may apply)
• M.Sc/M.A in Yogic Therapy (for this, candidates already graduate with B.Sc/ B.A in yoga therapy may apply)
• Teacher Training in Yoga Therapy (this is a certificate course)
• Diploma Course in Yoga Therapy
• Diploma course in Yogic studies/ Yoga Education

Gave done B.Sc in Yoga from Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhan Samsthan (svyasa) Bangalore
