Hyderabad May Soon Have Its Own IIT !!

Hyderabad is expecting good news it seems. This is because it may very soon host an exceptional IIT. This is possible as a combined board of experts from Japan and India has approved that they can work together in founding the premier institute for higher education there.

The latest Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) is to be established under the collaboration between India and Japan. This has to be exclusive as well as a sign of cooperative efforts of both the countries in producing a centre of brilliance that will draw the most competent learners in India. This is how the Joint Working Group sees it.

The summit between Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Japanese counterpart Taro Aso, it was decided that the city of Hyderabad can be the most ideal site for Indian- Japanese cooperation on the IT sector.

It was noted that Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh is very well-connected internationally and domestically; moreover it is one of the fastest developing cities in India where abundant development and research centers operate.

It has been recommended that this collaboration on the latest IIT shall be put into practice with a long-term point of view in mind and probably as a ten-year program.

Five areas have been identified for collaboration, which includes the fields of environment and energy, design, digital communication and developing nano-science and nano-technology as well as civil engineering.

Learning Japanese language has also been recommended as it would be quite important for the students of IIT Hyderabad to be able to get a job in Japan after completion of their studies.
