The Blogging Plague Spreads

Bollywood and the “herd mentality” sounds a bit too rhyming doesn’t it!!! Well well, looks like the blogging bug is here to stay in Bollywood. Such is the extent and the craze for blogging among the young and the old in Bollywood that even bedridden people are not willing to compromise on getting in touch with their fans. I am sure you must have guessed it by now who I am talking about? Yes it is our very own Shahinshah, the Big B.

Amitabh Bachan apparently posted a blog entry from his hospital bed at Lilawati Hospital. This act was done despite the doctors advising him complete bed rest. Seems like age is getting the better of the Big B, after all the workaholic Bachchan just turned sixty six last week. Well what can we say, the internet is indeed a great way of getting to address a large fan following.

Other Bollywood actors to have taken a leaf out of the senior Bachchan book are – the TZP star Amir Khan, Salman Khan, Anupam Kher, Shatrughan Sinah etc. Not only are the stars keeping in touch with fans through their blogs, they are also taking digs at each other and rivals. To site a few examples of the ugly cyber spats are the recent Shatru vs Amithabh spat, where Shatru bhaiya says the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) nominations were fixed, hinting that the Big B is the brand ambassador of IIFA. This irked Amithabh and made him come up with his take on this issue on his blog. And how can we forget the much publicized Amir- Shahrukh spat, where Amir says that he has a dog named Shahrukh. On this our modest Gandhigiri follower Shahrukh said that he takes these jokes in good humor.

Where to go people!!! Take a chill pill I say.
