Bollywood Super Star Amitabh Bachchan on the Road to Recovery

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, 67, is recovering soon after he was admitted at the Lilavati Hospital, Bombay for abdominal pain. He is likely to be discharged in a day or two.
Bachchan was admitted to the hospital on his birthday. He underwent several tests, including a CT scan of his abdomen and blood tests. According to hospital sources, he had a “restful” night. They further said that his blood biochemistry tests and CT scan did not indicate any abnormality. Vice-president of Lilavati hospital, Dr. Narendra Trivedi said that the medicines administered to him did work and he would be in a position to leave the hospital within a few days time.
Bollywood actor Tinu Anand and film director Ram Gopal Verma visited him in the hospital, besides friends and family. Prime Minster, Dr. Manmohan Singh conveyed his best wishes.
Surgery was overruled although several rumors floated around to that effect. Fans were loitering around the hospital to get a glimpse of the superstar and his son Abhishek Bachchan.
