Study in Australia
Australia is a hot spot for Indian students. The students are attracted to Australia because of the huge number of courses that are offered there. The country has an amazing infrastructure which is favorable for these students from abroad. That is why 36% of her students are from abroad where Indians are leading followed by Chinese.
Australia has a potential to compete with the UK as well as the US. Apart from world-class education the country is providing lucrative careers also.
What Do You need to Study in Australia?
For a course in Australia you definitely have to stay there throughout the course duration. You have to arrange for a work visa, so that you can work along with studies. To be eligible you have to apply for a visa as well as a work in your relevant field for at least a year.
Popular Courses
There are certain courses which are conventionally taken up by Indian students. They are:
Courses on Business
At present, the most sought after course is the MBA for which many students flock to Australia. The other courses which are also in demand are Accounting, Marketing, Management Information Systems (MIS), Human Resources, Banking, Finance and International Business.
There are many good universities which offer MBA degrees. The duration of a course depends on whether you are doing it on the full-time or the part-time basis. The course generally takes 18 months to five years to complete.
Courses on Information Technology and Engineering
Australia offers quite a number of International Technology courses. However, they are costly programs, it depends on your means whether you can opt for the courses. All Engineering courses are offered here. Students do these courses here because apart from good expertise they are offered great job opportunities after they pass out.
Courses on Hospitality and Tourism
These courses are recently being offered here because of the booming hotel and hospitality industry the world over. Again after the completion of these courses also students have the advantage of many job opportunities in the five star hotels, casinos, airlines etc. in Australia itself.
