It means, teacher is the God and the third most important person in one’s life after mother and father. This is the significance given to guru (teacher) in Hindu (Indian) mythology. Any person in the world, in any form of education, art or sport, needs a teacher.
When Is Teacher’s Day:
In India, Teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th September. Teacher’s day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of india. Dr. Radhakrishnan was a teacher by his profession. He was very strong believer of education and was one of the well known diplomat, scholar, philosopher and above all a teacher. Teacher’s Day is also known as “Teachers’ Appreciation Day”, “National Teachers’ Day”, “Guru Pujotsavam”.
To pay a grand tribute to Dr. Radhakrishnan’s best service he has given as a teacher, we celebrate Teacher’s day on his birthday.
Dr. Radhakrishnan – A Guide For This Generation:
Dr.Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is considered as a guide for the students from rural regions. Everyone must admire him and get inspired by Dr. Radhakrishnan, who grew up in a small town and became one of the most well known and honest politicians in the history of India.
Celebrations On Teacher’s Day:
Whether it is a pre- primary school or a higher learning university, students pay their respect to their teachers. They give garlands and other gifts to their teachers. Students conduct some fun games or cultural activities for their teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s day.
Teachers enthusiastically participate in games and other activities conducted by their students and bless them for their bright future. On this day, students perform the regular activities that are performed daily by their teachers. This activity gives a responsibility to students about what their teachers are really striving for. Students also perform cultural activities to pay their respect to teachers.
Appreciations For Best Teachers:
On Teacher’s day, Government of India and all Indian state governments appreciate the best teachers throughout India and the respective states. It gives a moral boost to teachers.
