The Goan Lifestyle: Makes You Feel At Home!

Cornered by the sea on one side and with the land on the other, Goa has long been influenced by the Portuguese rule. Once you set your feet into Goa, you’ll realize that it enfolds a unique culture, taste and kind of people generally regarded to be simple, peaceful and generous.
If you are really inquisitive about the culture of Goa – as to how people live? What they do for a living? And much more than a take a peep into this article below to find out more about the Goan lifestyle.
Goa basically reflects peace and tranquility. Either you will find couples and families leisurely strolling or playing along the beaches or old gentlemen reading newspapers or cycling down peaceful and empty roads of North Goa. Though places in and around Panjim look quiet sophisticated and modern due to the amenities available, much of North and South Goa still lies in the midst of the wild, green landscapes with waves hitting across the shores.
With a number of international tourists hitting Goa, pubs, hotels, dance clubs and bars are the normal and prominent features of Goa. The young crowd appeals very much to such places, not to say that the older generations do not enjoy these places. The most amazing thing about Goa is that – it’s carefree and accommodating. Infact, you can visit restaurants with your family and find people sitting around taking a peg or two without disturbing you. So much of Goa allows you to do things your way!
Generally people stay home or at work during the day. However, the evenings and weekends are reserve for the beaches. Some of the most popular beaches in Goa are Calangute, Vagator, Colva and many more.
Goa is happening and can keep you going till the sun goes down – comedy clubs, concerts, sports bars, lounges, dance clubs and many more authentic things to look forward to such as fenny with fried promfret along the beach or a the simple but unique fish curry and rice. You couldn’t help but feeling more than comfortable in this place.
People in Goa generally follow a very genuine, simple and carefree lifestyle where they believe in the philosophy of – “live and let liveâ€.
Goa isn’t a place to see but to absorb with its widespread ethnicity, gentility and perpetual influence of the west. An ultimate feast for the mind, body and soul, Goa has everything to offer you, from small to big pleasures.
