Rakhis For Sister-in-laws

A lumba Rakhi is very different form of rakhi. Unlike the traditional rakhis which is a special bond between a brother and sister, Lumba rakhi is celebrated by a brother, sister and her siter-in-law. A very famous tradition of Rajasthan, the concept of Lumba rakhi is one wherein a girl not only ties rakhi to her brother but also her siter-in-law.

A relationship between a sister and sister-in-law is as important as a relationship between a brother and sister. It is important that a sister get along with her siter in law as both of them are mportant to their brother.

Lumbha Rakhis are very feminine in nature. Unlike rakhis for men, lumbha rakhis are very colorful with lots of beads and sequins. It emphasizes a strong relationship between two women.

Two forms of lumba rakhi are

Panchaglee Rakhi : Which is in the form of a bangle.

Hathpool Rakhi:
Which is like a ring and adorns the back of your palm. A small loop is made through which the finger can be inserted and then two loose ends are tied around the wrist.
