Celebs fool Audiences in Reality Shows

The trend was started by KBC when all the Bollywood biggies walked in to sit on the hot seats of reality game shows to earn some moolah that supposedly went for “charity”. The benefit was that on festive occasions like Diwali and Holi the shows ran on high TRPs.
But that was the old trend. Now games frequently call celebrities to soar the dip in the TRPs. The recent famous attempt was that of Shah Rukh Khan’s latest reality game show ‘Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?. Bollywood’s current hot couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor graced the show and won some money for the charity.
Somehow it seemed difficult to digest that they could easily win money up to 50 lakhs although their IQ didn’t seem more than that of millions of other ordinary mortals in the country who find it difficult to cross the 25-lakh mark.
Most of the people love watching the celeb bonhomie on the game shows and they are led to believing that the celebrities are actually playing the nail-biting game putting in the best of their efforts to win the money for charity.
But in reality, which is far from what the reality shows portray, the celebs are there to on a mutually beneficial contract. They show gets TRP and they get money a part of that (which I doubt goes to the Charity)
Coming back to the Saif and Kareena episode on Panchvi Paas where the couple won 50 lakhs, was already rehearsed a couple of days ago. Its not surprising because the stars who are capable of portraying different characters with great finesse on screen are also capable of acting natural while playing the game where they know all the questions and answers.
