Dell’s Colorful Line of Midlevel Notebooks Introduced

To lure style-conscious consumers on Thursday Dell unveiled its midlevel line of colorful notebooks. Dell’s colorful notebooks are available in 7 different colors and the price range starts from $799 for a 15” model and $999 for a 17” model. Both the models sport optional LED display and built-in Webcam, promising high quality graphics as compared to LCD screens.
Dell’s latest Studio line fits between its high-end XPS and low-end Insprion. Dell’s new product line reflects that it has learned from the success selling of Apple’s stylish and well functioned computers. Alex Gruzen, Senior VP, Dell’s Consumer Product Group said: “The new Studio products demonstrate that Dell is continuing to focus on design and value, delivering attractive, feature-packed mobile digital lifestyle products.”
Powered by Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and Windows Vista, Studio line is available with hard drives up to 320GB. The studio line comes with an option of DVD Disk Drive or Blu-Ray. The colorful notebooks are packed with the standard 802.11b/g wireless connectivity but consumer can opt for faster 802.11n.
In addition to above features the company offers an optional built-in broadband connectivity via carriers like Sprint and Verizon Wireless. The colors available are flamingo pink, plum purple, ruby red, jet black, tangerine orange, spring green and midnight blue. Consumers can choose graphite grey color which could be customized with contrasting colors around the displays back.
