Puri, the abode of Lord Jagannath is one the holiest cities of India and Puri beach is one of the sacred pilgrimage spots for Hindus and also a popular tourist resort. The festival, ‘Puri Beach Festival’ conducted at the Puri beach annually is the breath taking festival of the state, Orissa.

The festival is celebrated for five days from 23rd to 27th in the month of November every year. It attracts thousands of tourists and devotees from all over India as well as every corner of the world who come here to enjoy the great carnival and see Lord Jagannath.

The festival presents a vivid view of Orissa’s classical dance, music and art. Apart from this one can enjoy a varied number of other cultural events such as folk dances, stunning sand carvings, rock concerts, fashion shows, firework competitions etc. The wonderful handicraft work displays in the festival will leave you stunning about the state’s ancient art.
