Strings Koi Aane Wala Hai Review

Strings have come up with a brand new album after a four-year hiatus and after super-duper hits like Zinda and Aakhri Alvida we couldn’t help the great expectations with this album. The album begins with their title track Koi Aane Wala Hai. The video looks amazing featuring John Abraham. The melody of this song is reminiscent of old Kishore Kumar songs and it sounds awesome in Faisal Kapadia’s deep and mellifluous voice. It seems an interesting blend of old flavor and a new taste with Bilal’s guitars.

Then follows the song Aik Do Teen its a very light and peppy number, quite pleasant to hear. The tune is pretty good and the lyrics narrate a story between a guy and ‘Pari’ who fulfills his desire for a heaven-like existence. I remember reading Strings wanted to come up with songs that they could thrill their live audiences with. The song Jago sung by Bilal is also a concert song with peppy music.

Jab se Tumko is a very old song that Strings released in their second album way back. Now they’ve revamped it with guitars and drums and it sounds pretty good. Better than it sounded back then.
Hum Hi Hum is an inspirational song but doesn’t have a catchy tune. In fact it is quite a forgettable number. But the album ends on a happy note with two of Strings best songs Zinda and Aakhri Alvida.
I would say it’s a fantastic album. The only minus point being, it doesn’t offer us those forever memorable songs like Dhani and Durr. So go for this lovely album… I say it’s a must buy for all Strings fans.
