Jaya Bachchan’s Cannes Fashion Disaster

While Aishwarya sported the dashing debonair Junior Bachchan as her arm candy at the Cannes Film Festival 2008, the senior Bachchans flew down to be with their darling bahu.
Amitabh Bachchan confessed they were at Cannes on a private visit and no one invited them. So Jaya Bachchan must not have taken pains to get a designer dress for herself so she chose to wear a rather wierd cotton ghagra.
I’m sure designers all around India and even laypeople like me are wondering, why she wore something silly as that. Even a plain black saree would have done wonders for her image.
And look at Amar Singh there wonder why the man tags along every where with Bachchans.

Every Indian must have thought to themselves: “she should have just worn a simple saree”. The picture of Jaya in Guddi came to mind. As for Amar Singh, probably people will think he is a bodyguard. She is so posed and Amitabh and Abhishek look like they have to impress. Amitabh, you have gained name and fame by making millions in India happy watching your movies - don’t forget that - none of the people on the sidelines have done what you have done - so just let that self assurance show. All this is “just a show”. There is so much more to the world than these artificialities.
