The best mangoes are on their way out by the time you are planning to arrive in India. I guess your best best would be to go to the INA market in South Delhi and go for the Chausa variety. This is the last mango type for the season and you should be able to get some taste of this amazing fruit.

What an utterly tantalizing article, quite painful to read as I sit here in cold Cambridge, UK.
I am travelling to Delhi on 28th July and can only suppose that I will miss the Mango Festival. Nevertheless perhaps some kind soul might be able to tell me where I can find the best of the rest of mangoes to feed my minor addiction?
Thank you,
