Not only Akshay but also all of us are surprised to know about his honorary doctorate.
The University of Windsor, Ontario, Canada invited Akshay Kumar to honor him with a doctorate for his outstanding contribution to the field of acting.

Akshay is obviously thrilled, he says, “It is an honor to get something this big. It is very close to my heart. For me getting a doctorate is much better than getting an Oscar. I am getting a doctorate without doing my Masters.”

The seasoned actor has now joined the league of the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Yash Chopra and Shilpa Shetty who got honorary doctorates from foreign Univerisities in the past.
