Where and how to Invest in present scenario?
Stock markets and mutual fund NAVs have tumbled and are at a all time low values. Now in this uncertain market it is quite obvious for investors to get worried. What is required in the present state of mess is patience, patience and lots of patience.
Take for instance mutual funds. If your fund selection is appropriate and you have done it after properly evaluating the past performance then there is no need to worry. In past diversified equity fund did very well with most of them giving annual returns above 50% but in the present troubled times, you cannot expect the same. Investments in these funds should be made with long term benefits in mind so relax.
With trouble in US market we were bound to be hit. Our domestic market is quite mature and lot of this blow will get softened in the coming months. Now have a look at this:
- Domestic demand is all time high.
- Employment opportunities is rising
- Spending on Infrastructure is on a rise.
- Substantial growth in the income of middle class
In the era of globalization, we should be prepared for short term market dips due to dip elsewhere. GDP rates have slowed down a bit in last couple of weeks from 9% to somewhere near to 8% which is also a positive sign. Do not expect market to recover soon and be prepared for a further dip. However, Indian economy is strong enough to face these plunges and prospects look upbeat.
Stocks and mutual funds now are available at all time low prices. Market could go down a bit more. You never know when market could rally and make fast money for people. So select your investment options properly by looking at historical data and go for it. SIP is recommended option for the people planning to invest in mutual funds.
