In the opinion of many, India is the best place to shop for goods and services. So whether you’re looking for customized tailored suit or a pair for shoes, they are all available at cheap and fair rates. The most worthy things you could get your hands on are – cheap leather stuff, spices, silk, books, handicrafts, carpets and much more to look forward to.

Cosmetic surgery too seems to be inexpensive or cheaper in India. Unless you have a dental insurance, you can consider getting a refill or teeth cleaning done which is again an inexpensive treatment in India.

Leather
In India, there are 2 places best known for cheap and good-quality leather goods – Agra and Mumbai. Agra is precisely very famous for leather shoes which are available at remarkably low prices. In Mumbai, there is a place called “Dharavi” which has absolutely everything you want in leather. For example, leather shoes, belts, bags, purses or jackets. The market is famous for one’s bargaining capacities and you could fetch some really exotic and trendy leather stuff at cheap rates.

Artificial Jewelry
Also known as costume jewelry, artificial jewelry is becoming absolutely rampant in India. Adding unique traditional hints of craftsmanship, artificial jewelries are passed on from generation to generation for people to follow as a lucrative profession and hobby.

Copper Jewelry
For copper jewelry, Baroda in Gujarat is famous for its “Gheru” style of copper jewelry which gives a dull copper touch to the jewelries manufactured.

Gold Jewelry
In India gold jewelry is usually made of yellow and white gold though yellow gold is what is ordered and worn more often. Insist on proper government stamped receipts at the counter where you are buying gold jewelries. Gold is usually sold at the following rates in India:

Clothes

Some places you couldn’t miss while shopping during your vacation to India are – Jaipur, Varanasi and Delhi. Other states too have an abundance of antiques, pashmina shawls, electronic goods, etc you could get your hands on as early as possible.
