A student aspires for a scholarship. A scholarship covers his or her tuition fee as well as living expenses. It is purely on merit basis. The Auckland International College (AIC) scholarship is an attractive offer. It is a fully paid scholarship, which includes tuition and accommodation in the college boarding house. It also includes university application costs, including SAT tests, IB diploma examination fees, hiring of textbooks, fees related to annual courses, school uniform, and return transport charges to Auckland International College, holiday accommodation, meals, travel and health insurance. The partial scholarship offers tuition fees, course-related fees, text-book hiring.
There are five partial scholarships in addition to three fully paid scholarships. The total cost of the three fully paid scholarships is US$ 159,00 and that of the partial scholarships is US$ 1,40,000. The AIC is indeed making a heavy investment.
The scholarships are available to class 10 students only. The students should have secured 75% in science and mathematics in class nine and 10 preliminary and term examinations. March 31st is the deadline for completed forms. One can contact Education Times, Times of India, for further details.
